Thank you Rachel, for first doing this work with your own young one, so that you could hold firm in your beliefs in others enough, in love enough, to stay in the fire and not run, and tell the tale. So much I’m also dancing with in this post, I’m also reading About Love by Bell Hooks at present. ❤️ I loved your challenge of it.
Thank you dear Sarah. I appreciate the loving and affirming witnessing and reflection here. The courage to tell these tales, celebrating that in us both! Would love to hear your thoughts on that text some day. We're lucky to have such a sacred reference -- grateful every day for what that book has taught me.
I am so moved by this Rachel. It is an ongoing dilemma for me, and your words give me such a sense of clarity and realisation and recognition. I will be tapping back into your thoughts again later today.
Thank you for this incredible kindness Chantal. It is an ongoing journey for me too. I feel honored to offer those through this piece to you. Always grateful to share and reflect together. I so appreciate you taking the time to comment.
Thank you for sharing this. I feel very held what you shared, held by your experience, held by similarities to my own.
How can they not co-exist where little children run and play (inside us all). If we are born of love, and love cannot die, then it must remain. And I believe love cannot die.
I also choose this way of believing. For without it, I would have been absent of love many a regretful time as I fumble(d) my way through this existence.
Thank you for the questions. How to love without violence . I appreciate you holding these opposing thoughts together and giving me permission to as well.
Roddy, wow, thank you for this expression of resonance and for holding this space with me. I feel truly met by your response. It is so poignant to acknowledge how much love would be lost as we all fumble through this experience, this immense learning journey for which so many of us are underprepared. We are building more resources as we speak. The cycles are breaking in real time. Truly grateful to live amidst the contradiction with companions like you. It can be lonely out here! Thank you so much for taking the time. I look forward to more exchanges in this evolutionary process.
